PCOS Challenge: to help women!

You might be wondering what is the”PCOS month“every September? Well, let us enlighten you on this incredible initiative.

Who is behind the “PCOS Month”?

The association behind this initiative is”PCOS Challenge: The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association“. Serving over 55,000 members, it is the world's largest non-profit support and advocacy organization for people living with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

They started working in 2008 from the USA and now have relays in Europe!

What are the missions of this association dedicated to women?

PCOS support 💪

PCOS Challenge offers support to women with PCOS through television and radio programs, educational workshops, and online and offline support networks. Their programs help women overcome their difficulties related to infertility, weight gain, anxiety, depression and to reduce their risk of potentially fatal associated diseases.

PCOS Radio 📻

Sasha Ottey, founder and executive director of PCOS Challenge, hosts the associated radio program. This popular show features interviews with renowned PCOS experts, New York Times bestselling authors, and testimonies from women living with PCOS.

PCOS Challenge offers The PCOS Challenge Family Building Scholarship for people with PCOS with infertility problems, which includes a free IVF cycle. They also offer the PCOS Confidence Scholarship to help people with PCOS skin and hair problems, which includes a grant of up to $500 to help cover the costs of associated treatments.

PCOS events

The PCOS awareness symposia, presented by PCOS Challenge, are the largest series of events in the world dedicated to polycystic ovary syndrome.

These events bring together clinicians, researchers, hundreds of women with PCOS and their supporters for a day of sharing experiences, insights and the latest updates on the condition.

Why is it important?

Millions of women with polycystic ovary syndrome go undiagnosed, are not treated and have no support. PCOS Challenge is working tirelessly to make PCOS a public health priority. Every donation counts, and they rely largely on individual donations to fund their initiatives.

So, dear readers, If you or someone you know is affected by PCOS, know that PCOS Challenge is there to support you. They also have their counterpart in France who even organize an event on PCOS in Paris.

And remember, every September is PCOS month! Spread the word and support this incredible cause.
